The requirement within industry to carry out welder approval testing is becoming greater all the time. It is no longer just the petro chemical and offshore industries but a far wider range of industries that are now recognising the requirement to have more control over welding operations. This is no more so than in the Constructional Steel Industry for which new legislation requiring welding operatives to be approved, as part of Welding Quality Management systems came into force on 1st July 2014. We also have a number of customers who are required  by their health and safety policy to have some form of approval of their maintenance staff if they do any welding.
